Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026. RankMyIncome is designed to work without user accounts and without storing the income amount you enter in a RankMyIncome database.

Calculator inputs

The country and annual income you enter are processed in your browser to calculate a result. RankMyIncome does not require an account, and the calculator does not send your entered income to a RankMyIncome application database for the purpose of calculating your percentile.

Sharing results

If you use the share or copy-result feature, RankMyIncome generates text containing your country, tier, and estimated top percentage. The income amount you entered is not included in the generated share text.

Optional saving on your device

Nothing is saved automatically. If you choose “Save result on this device”, localStorage in your browser stores one country code, national and world top percentages, dataset version and save date. The entered income amount is not stored. This record stays on the device until you delete it with “Delete saved result” or clear site data. Other people using the same browser can see it. Private-browsing modes or browser restrictions may disable saving.

Changing the language preserves the selected country in the link, but never puts the income amount in a URL. A downloaded share image is created locally and includes ranks and data years, but not the entered income amount. Sharing a rank can still reveal an approximate position in an income distribution.

Server and hosting logs

The hosting or infrastructure provider may automatically process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and requested pages for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and operational logging.

Google AdSense, advertising and cookies

RankMyIncome loads Google AdSense on calculator and data-content pages. Ads may not appear while the site is under review. The AdSense script is excluded from error pages and our About, Methodology, Data Sources, Terms, Privacy and Contact pages. The following disclosures apply to advertising-related requests on eligible pages.

Google and other third-party advertising vendors may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ad serving or ad-related requests on this site. These technologies may be used to serve and measure advertising, limit repeated ads, detect fraud and abuse, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to RankMyIncome or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Consent

Where required by applicable law or Google policy, a consent mechanism must provide information and request choices before advertising technologies that require consent are used. Google Privacy & messaging is the selected consent provider. Its published messages provide consent choices to eligible visitors; saving a calculator result locally is a separate, optional action. This includes consent requirements that may apply to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Available choices and advertising behavior can vary by region, consent status, and Google settings.

Analytics

RankMyIncome does not currently use a separate third-party analytics provider. Advertising services may perform their own measurement as part of ad delivery. If a separate analytics provider is added later, this policy will be updated to identify the provider and the categories of information it processes.

Data source

The calculator uses statistical distribution data from WID.world. These are aggregate statistical datasets and are separate from the personal income value you type into the calculator.

Children

RankMyIncome is a general informational calculator and is not designed to create personal profiles of children. No account creation is required.
